81. Depression


Lucy was hugging her knees and staring out the window. In her hand, she was holding a letter from her mother telling her that her parents were splitting up.
“Luce?” Tyler said very quietly, not wanting to disturb her.
“Yeah?” she responded just as quietly; Tyler could immediately tell that something was wrong because she was never usually this quiet.
“Wh—what’s wrong?” he asked softly.
In response, she handed him the letter, a tear falling down her cheeks as she did so.
Ty read it quickly and sighed. “It’ll be okay,” he said consolingly and reached for her hand.
