Emma giggled and gave Ellie an evil smirk. OOh, she was enjoying this a lot. It was almost as fun as eating chocolate. She beamed Ellie a smile. Emma shrugged her shoulders. Crazy? Goodness, that was the second time this week. First this Ravenclaw called Dallin called her crazy cause she was looking for the Room of Requirement and he didn't believe it was true. Oh goodness. Maybe Emma was going a little mad? Or maybe she had eaten a lot of chocolate already? Sugar Rush.
"No, they won't. And besides, I'm a Malfoy, what could go wrong?" she asked her Ravie friend dramatically. She was a Malfoy and people thinking that she was crazy was not a good idea. The blonde popped another piece of chocolate in her mouth and decided to stay quiet a little longer. Emma shook her head. "Kicked out? That would be funny. A Ravenclaw and a Slytherin kicked out?" she began, still teasing her friend, until she realised Ellie was being serious. Oh..... "But Ellie... IT IS A BIG DAY AND YOU CAN'T DENY IT!" she whispered loudly to Ellie, lowering her voice.
MERLIN'S BEARD! How was Ellie so good at picking up when she was upset? Alex rarely picked it up... She coughed and put on an innocent look. "Nothing's wrong! It's just that we should make every day count. Especially your birthday." she added, giving her friend a real smile this time.
Ellie laughed out at her friend as she spoke in her radio news voice. Emma was so silly.
"You'll see, I'll win this competition." Ellie said with a confident smirk. She had the universe on her side. Why? ...Don't ask, no one knows.
Noticing Emma's evil Malfoy smirk, Ellie couldn't help but grin at her blonde friend. She knew she was just having fun and Ellie was glad of that. Ellie laughed again. Emma was a Malfoy, what else could go wrong?
"You know you can't use your last excuse for everything right, Emma?" She questioned with a cocked eyebrow. Ellie snorted at Emma's attitude of such nonchalance, even though she was kind of serious about getting kicked out. Ellie rolled her eyes.
"It's just a birthday, really. I'll be sixteen, but that doesn't mean anything; it's just time." She said with a laugh. It was kind of funny to see Emma so serious about a birthday celebration.
At Emma's cough and her 'innocent look', Ellie knew she was thinking about her. And her curse. Ellie tilted her head a little and smiled sadly.
We should make everyday count. Ellie sighed.
"Emma, look at me. I don't think I'm going anytime soon!" She said, but lowered her voice so no one would hear her.
"I'm healthy as dog." She said with a strained laugh. Apparently dogs were healthy. At least that's what the figure of speech implied.
