The redhead looked up from her cake and her eyes narrowed; what was he up to now? This became clear at once as the stupid boy jumped on his chair and--and--started singing. He had a terrible voice and Ruby didn't really mind...until she heard what he was saying.
Her face turned bright red again as she watched him waving the french bread in his face, using it as a microphone. THAT GOOFBALL! Ruby sat up so fast that her chair overturned behind her. And to make matters worse, Brae was now slobbering all over that picture she was working so hard to get. "Stoppit!" She hissed at him, but, of course, he continued to sing in his horrible voice. Then, getting an idea, Ruby grinned.
She crossed her arms and put on the face of a heart-broken girl the likes of which had never been seen on her and glared at Brae. She could play this game, too. "You're lying, baby!" She suddenly said in a harsh voice. "You never loved me! I saw you the other day--with that--that blonde chick!" And then she buried her face in her hands, and pretended to sob. If Brae's singing had made people turn around in their seats to stare at them, Ruby's screams brought everyone's chattering to a stop. Or so it seemed.
She peeked out from behind her hands, a grin hidden on her face. Now, if only she could grab that picture--eugh, it was covered in Brae's germs.
"And give me that picture!" She yelled one final time, and tried to snatch it from his hands.
Braeden was really enjoying himself. He had jumped down from his seat and danced around the table, almost tripping on Ruby's chair as the girl so suddenly jumped up to her feet. "
AAHH!" His arms flailed around for a moment before he was finally able to regain his composure. Whoaaa.
The Gryffindork smirked for a second there, admiring the lovely expression of pure fury and anger adorning Ruby's features, before opening his mouth, just about to get back to singing, before the fiery redhead all of a sudden started… what was that, wailing? GAHHH, Whatever it was, it was like nails on a chalkboard and it was beginning to make the boy's ears bleed. Braeden cringed as Ruby began to shout and scream, going on about something about not loving her and a blonde girl.
…
What?!
Everyone in the shop was staring in horror at the odd couple, and a few people furrowed their brows disapprovingly at the supposedly cheater boyfriend.
Whaaaaaaaat?!
"Uh--what--I--
What? Ruby-- what-- I--" Braeden looked around at all the faces staring at them before turning back to the redheaded girl. "Rub--
Love, you're wrong. I don't know what you're talking about, Sugarplum, but… I love you. I'd never cheat on you," said the boy, putting on his best hurt expression that made him look like a puppy kicked at the side of the road. He hoped this worked. But as Ruby tried to snatch the photograph of them, Brae quickly pulled it back. "But it's the only memory I've got of you, love… I can't let you set it on fire," he said, quickly stuffing the photograph back into his shirt before Ruby tried anything else.
He had to get out of here before they got kicked out for causing so much noise and before he was charged for the ridiculous amount of food. Looking flustered, Braeden looked around for an escape before noticing: the bathroom. AH-HA!
"Oh! Oh, what's wrong?!" he asked dramatically all of a sudden, acting as if Ruby had accidentally injured herself. He quickly wrapped an arm around her shoulders and held the girl tight, tight enough to leave her without much choice but to follow his lead. Mwahahah. "Come, let's get you all fixed up, Sugarplum," he said sweetly, leading the girl over to the bathroom.
