Seren couldn't help but watch in amusement as Jacob tested the chairs resistence... he would live. Since when did people die from broken chairs?
shrugging her shoulder she smiled at Jacob, "I'm sure you'll survive for an hour or two."Depending entirley on whether or not he complied with the detention activity.

Oh here we go!... now he was trying to distract her. Smoke? what smoke? Seren sniffed the air, well ok he wasn't wrong, there was a hint of a fire. Striding over to the door she opened it and stuck her head out... it didn't seem to be too serious, and they were safe down there. Perhaps a student blew up their cauldron.. who knew.
Returning to her spot against the wall she turned her attention back to Jacob.
"I'm sure whatever it is, is being dealt with accordingly."

After watching Jacob mull over his current situation, watching his brain tick- more or less... she was still shocked by his response. He really didn't understand did he?
"So... if you accidently kneed me... that would make it alright for me to feed you to a snargaluff?" she asked, hoping that perhaps this way he would see that it was wrong.
