Unconsciously taking a step back toward the wall of the treehouse, he glanced back and forth from the redhead to the table multiple times, not sure of whether to speak to her or not. Would his silence anger her or keep her temper in check? Only Merlin knew.
Forcing himself to stop being immature, he made an effort to smile, although it came out as a grimace, and waved weakly. Hopefully she wouldn't dare hurt him in front of the other girls.
Ruby's stare turned into a glare as the boy tried to
smile at her and then waved. Didn't he understand they were NOT on friendly terms here?! Looking past her as if he was perhaps waving to someone else, Ruby raised one eyebrow.
"You waving to me, boyo?" She said in an offended tone, and walked slowly up to him so that they were face to face. She had also noticed that he had backed up against the treehouse wall when he glanced her--this made her extremely happy. FEAR MEEEE.
