Misbehavior 13. Flagrate
Regulus knew Severus was in detention. He also knew it was for getting caught up in something his brother and Potter had done. Regulus had had enough of hearing these stories, and enough of the double-standards around this school.
However, he could not figure out which window the room was behind. He looked down at the palm of his hand again, where he’d written down the room number—623—before looking confusedly back up at the looming wall of the castle. Well, there was nothing else for it. It was now or never.
Stooping and using all of his strength, Regulus threw a rock, missing the first shot, but landing the second. A figure appeared at the window, hovering, curious.
“Flagrate,” Regulus murmured before tracing the words, Sneak out, in the air over and over, not letting it fade until the figure disappeared.
He finally saw someone approaching him with quick steps, and hoped it was Severus. His face fell when he saw who it was.
“Regulus Black! Telling one of my Gryffindor girls to sneak out! Honestly! This is the kind of behavior I would have expected from your brother! Detention!”
Regulus bit back a curse. Mcgonagall. “Yes, ma’am.”
