Bonnie Wright spoke about her participation in the charity programme
The Global Poverty Project's Live Below the Line campaign this month, as well as her work in the
Harry Potter films and the upcoming thriller,
The Philosopher's, on ITV's talk show,
Loose Women, earlier today.
In terms of Live Below the Line, Bonnie admitted that she partook in the one pound a day challenge in early May, where participants had to figure out means to live off - including food and general necessities - on just a single pound, as that was the same amount of money on which those suffering in impoverished nations survived. Bonnie also discussed what her experience was like on the green screen stages of the Harry Potter films, and how comfortable she was kissing costar Daniel Radcliffe. The young actress also admitted that she will begin filming
The Philosophers in three weeks time down in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she will play an outspoken philosophy student. That can all be viewed below, courtesy of BonnieWrightOnline.
Bonnie Wright (on kissing Dan): It actually kind of worked the other way around, when you know someone for so long, and you can kind of joke about it and have fun. It's not like you're on set with a complete stranger where you suddenly have to kiss, so it was nice. Yeah, we just had a lot of fun with it.
Bonnie Wright (on her preference of green screen versus real-life filming): I think you can lose yourself a bit more when it's a bit more realistic, when there's natural sets around you and you're working off of someone else, it's much easier. Where sometimes, you do do massive special effects things, all these dots you have to be following around, so sometimes it gets a bit confusing, and you're sort of like, 'Where am I?' Which is sort of bizarre.
Bonnie Wright (on being typecast and
The Philosophers): For me, which has been quite lucky is that though my character did very much develop, I feel like I won't necessarily be as typecast as Dan, Rupert, and Emma, so, no, I guess it's just how willing you are to challenge yourself to play different roles.
I'm starting a new film, I'm off in three weeks to begin, which is very different to Harry Potter. I'm off in Indonesia, yes. It's set in an international school in Jakarta, and it's about this philosophy class. The film takes this amazing turn where it becomes a psychological thriller. So, the character I'm playing is outgoing, and she's quite fashion-forward and quite cool in the classroom, but she's very outspoken, so I'm very excited about that because Ginny was always quiet. Again, it is set in a school, but a different environment, and there'll be about 19 other people my age from around the world, so that'll be interesting.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will be released in theatres and IMAX in July. SnitchSeeker just received word from Bonnie's reps that due to her filming schedule for
The Philosophers, she will only be attending the London world premiere of
Deathly Hallows: Part II on July 7, 2011.
