Sorry as she was for the pecking that Oakey was receiving from his own owl, Zara couldn't help but chuckle a bit. This time the bit her lip so as not to laugh.
"I think you shouldn't speak, if that helps," she said, face smiling, still trying to stop laughing.
Okay now she was serious, she tried searching for a solution to the owl's owner-pecking when suddenly Eirwen came flying towards her. Immediately, Zara's face was all smiles as she held out her hand for Eirwen to land on.
"Ohh you're here! I'm so sorry I haven't come sooner," she told her owl, using her other hand to stroke it. She had missed her beautiful snowy owl for such a while. Remembering that they had an audience, she faced Oakey and Valentine, and grinned,
"This is Eirwen, my friend. I mean, my owl."
Reaching in her pockets, she took out some owl treats and on her palm, they now lay as Eirwen began to feed on them.
