He first walked to the front table and took a list, then headed towards the shelves to take a bowl and a pitcher for himself. Once he had returned to his table he set them on his table neatly, making sure the list was at a safe distance from the bowl and pitcher, to prevent it from getting wet. He glanced at the list for a minute or two before proceeding with the task, just to become acquainted with the possibilities since it was a lengthy list. Then he pulled out his wand and filled his bowl with sufficient water. However, before he poured the oil into the bowl he had a question. "Professor," he began with his hand raised, "is it possible to get multiple symbols?" Maybe the oil could separate and create two different symbols or maybe only one would be the actual symbol and the rest meaningless circles. He really wanted to make sure before he could proceed.
As it seemed everyone managed to collect their supplies smoothly, or as smoothly as could be expected, Renée had taken her Tarot cards out of her pocket again to occupy herself until any questions were asked. Of course, as soon as she’d had that thought, it seemed the students were bound to ask, and she looked up again as she heard Eino speak, deck still all in one stack. At least his question was a good one, as she imagined there were probably others wondering the same thing. “Elaeomancy is no different than any other method of divination involving interpretation of symbols,” she began, giving him a nod. “Would you expect to be able to get a full prediction out of only one symbol? Multiple symbols is generally the goal. More information always helps, I would think.” She’d noted that he hadn’t really started yet either. “Did that answer your question?,” she concluded, subtly nudging him to continue with the activity. He wouldn’t find any symbols without pouring the oil, after all.

One last chance, he poured just enough olive oil in the atewr and a symbol started to appear in his bowl William raised his hand. " Professor, I see a ball and a mask" Now since my father had beeeni ns ports all his life, I believe I will follow his footsteps and become a great player just like my father" William told the professor. " Now since, I see a mask, I just wonder if sometimes I maksk my real feelings to other" William said to the professor. " I am confused about this symbol because I have a lot of confidence a lot of freinds and even a girlfrind at my age" William sighed. " I just wonder if all my true feelings have not come out because I am still young" William explained to the professor. With the ball symbol, I can possibly make some good money and eventually buy a Yilla like my paretns" William smiled at the teacher. " Is this right?' Wiliam asked the professor.
Her earlier reprimand apparently had gotten things taken care of, as Renée watched William get to work on the activity presented to everyone. However, it seemed he still wanted to be walked through the interpretation, and she turned her attention to him without much bother. He needed to interpret things for himself, but she could still listen to him work it all through. Most of her response was nodding, but she still needed to interject a bit. “Masks represent something hidden, that’s true. It doesn’t always have to be referring to relationships, however,” she pointed out, idly thinking about the ship and all the rumors surrounding its appearance. She needed to set William straight on more, however, so she broke free of that tangent easily. “More often than not, a ball doesn’t represent sports, but that’s doesn’t mean you’re entirely wrong with your interpretation there, either.” Balls could reflect changes in fortune, after all. He could look at his copy of the list to find that out. “Interpretations are personal to yourself, at least in this case, so do you think you’re right?,” she finished with a smile. She couldn’t say if he was accurate, not without explicitly knowing the future, and she made a habit of not looking into the students’ futures.

Nika ran up to the shelf enthusiastically and grabbed a bowl of one of the top shelves. It wasn't such a good choice to take one of the bowls from up there because oops. Hehe. It dropped. Bad, clumsy Nika. She closed her eyes expecting to hear it shatter, but it didn't. She looked down and grinned when she saw it was still in one piece. "Unbreakable charm? Good thinking professor!" She said rather loudly.

She looked over at the shelf and grabbed a small pitcher of oil and made sure that she grabbed this one from a lower shelf. No more dropping supplies for Nika. She took it to her seat and stared at the bowl for a good few seconds before realizing she need to cast the spell for water. BUT WAIT. "Professor do the five C's of potion making apply to divination too? I mean do we have to clean our bowls and stuff before we use them?" Because Lafay was always so picky about that.
At the sound of a crash, Renée turned her attention from William to see Nika over by the shelves and a bowl on the floor. It certainly seemed her precautions were validated, but she only grinned at the loud compliment. It saved her from having to clean up broken glass, at least, even if he could use magic to do so. Watching as the little Gryffindor continued gathering her supplies, obviously learning from her previous mistake, she remained quiet. Even as the redhead went on to stare at her empty bowl like she expected something to just appear inside it. She stood up, though, and smiled again at the question that was posed. “A bit of dust shouldn’t affect things too much, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the oil,” she replied, stepping closer to the student tables. “I can assure you that the bowls are clean, though, and I’ll let you know in the future if anything requires particular cleanliness.” It seemed Hecate was infiltrating her class now as well, but that was fine. It had been another good question.

It seemed her choice of standing up had also been good, as the questions kept coming and Renée turned her attention to Rosemary. Stepping over to the young girl’s table, she glanced at the bowl momentarily before turning her gaze to the Gryffindor. “What does your list say about each symbol?,” she asked. She could make her own interpretations, but Rosemary needed to at least try o analyze them. She had to admit, the collection was a bit odd, but for the most part the meanings worked together rather well. There was even a bit of repetition in the meanings of a few of them (and even the actual possible interpretation of one of the symbols alone), which was fascinating. The very fact the images had decided to appear was interesting alone, as it said that possibly the girl had some sort of innate connection to the subject. She’d need to find that for herself though.

No offence but he had the feeling he could concentrate better.

Placing the bowl in front of him, Daichi grabbed his phoenix feather wand and....wait... how does that spell work?! Slightly panicking, the first year looked from left to right hoping to see any of the other students saying the spell for water out loud. He saw a Gryffindor saying Aguamenti and he figured that would be it. He raised his wand and pointed it at the bowl. "Aguamenti!" nothing happend, not even a drop of water. "Aquamenti" again nothing. Was he suppose to move his wand a certain way? Like a swish and flick? Whatever it was it was sooooo difficult! He couldn't wait for Evan's training.. Where was he anyways!? Daichi looked around him, trying to find the seventh year but he wasn't in this class. He sighed deeply and turned his attention back to the bowl. If other students can do it who look like his age, Daichi can do it too! Yush! "Aguamenti!" Failure again. The first year Slytherin groaned out loud and raised his hand in the air. "Can someone help me with this" stupid "spell?"
Turning from Rosemary, Renée noticed that Daichi seemed to be having problems as well, and she headed over to the Slytherin’s table seconds before his hand shot up into the air. That wasn’t really her forte; although she knew she was skilled at charms, she couldn’t help but think of Jared as she got a clearer look at the boy’s problem. He was the Charms professor after all. “The Water Charm?,” she asked gently. It was entirely possible the first year could have difficulties. “You seem like you have the incantation right, but you’re trying a bit too hard with the wand movement,” she continued. it seemed none of the other students had noticed his plea for help, so it was up to her. “Like this,” she said, pointing her wand toward the empty bowl simply. “Aguamenti,” she said, focused on the incantation, and water started flowing from her wand. She stopped it after only a few inches had gathered, though. “Why don’t you try again?,” she then suggested to Daichi. She may not have been the best to teach him the charm, as she mostly just intellectually understood how it worked, but hopefully he’d picked something up. She had other students to help, in the meantime.

She said clearly, poiting her wand at the bowl, and to her surprise and delight, a delicate stream of water poured from her wand, filling the bowl and inch from the brim. She smiled as the water and oil interwove, but felt a pang when she only saw blobs floating around. She felt a lump in her throat, of anger and annoyance and sorrow. She would never be anything, do anything. She looked down again, and only saw another blob, but as she looked more carefully she could make out something which she thought was a dolphin, which wasn't on the list. She narrowed her eyes then realised it was a plane. Like a World War Two plane, soaring around the bowl, and circles drifting away from it rapidly- they looked scarily like bombs. Why was her future depicting her throwing bombs?

"Professor, I don't understand my one." She said, raising her hand, her eyes still locked on the bowl.
”It’s okay, Beth,” Renée assured the Ravenclaw as she walked nearer to her table. “Just make sure you remember that in the future.” She had a feeling there were other professors who wouldn’t be quite so lenient on the matter. But then the conversation switched to her bowl, as she watched Beth examining the contents without comment. Until the girl’s hand raised, and she nodded slightly to show she’d acknowledged the request. “What exactly don’t you understand?,” she asked, leaning over to get a look at the oil herself. Okay, context could be an issue, but beyond that it was straightforward. “Sometimes the images are just simple. You don’t need to come up with a visual connection for them,” she explained. Sometimes a circle was just a circle, not anything else.

And, glancing up from Beth for a moment, she noticed a bit of something over at Kurumi and Selina’s table and looked intently for a few more seconds, taking closer stock of the situation as only she could. She knew what was going on, and, with a silent communication of excuse toward the Ravenclaw, she drifted closer to the two Gryffindors. Kurumi was hiding it well, but she still wanted to be there for support. She’d promised Selina she would, after all.
