They were back to the water scrying...thing. Alex was still confused about that, and after a few seconds of thinking it over he decided to raise his hand.
"I have a question, professor. If you were looking into the water for reflections, wouldn't you just see yourself? I don't understand how people can use that as Divination when you're just looking at your own face." he said. He just DIDN'T get it.
Oh wait, he should probably answer her question too! "Elaeomancy is the same sort of thing, only with oil," he explained. THAT made a bit more sense, since oil wasn't SOOOO reflective, in his opinion...but that sounded awfully messy and gross.
