So that's what she planned on doing, as well as silently hoping that her office wasn't bursting with bright and shiny, new excited faces. Raising her hand, Katie knocked once or twice. Well then, that was something Josephina hadn't been expecting. Another knock or two, but at least it wasn't reluctant like some of the knocks she'd been hearing today. "You may come in," Fina called calmly to whoever awaited her company on the outside of the door. ************************************ Quote:

If Destiny had to annoy and irritate her during the day, she could just STAY OUT of her dreams! WAIT! Hold on a minute. She was steering herself off topic. "They better not be." If there was any word to describe what Josephina Hadley was feeling at that present moment it was CONFUSION. Tilting her head slightly, she studied the sixth year before as she had brought up Destiny in her dreams. And furthermore, Evelyn had the galls to admit that Destiny Shepard was NOT her friend?! What in the name of Merlin?! "Explain then. From the beginning." Because she had nothing more to say and clearly Evelyn had a lot of talking to do. ************************************ Quote:

Actually, he had all the time in the world. Treyen didn't need to know what he was doing until his seventh year came around, and he certainly didn't want to leave Hogwarts without a basic idea of what his future was going to be like. Isn't it odd that the Professors he chose to ask this around were the ones that could deal with 'the future'. Nolan, Bishop and Hadley. Though, clearly, Nolan was just a pleasant coincidence over the summer.
He nodded all the way, and was glad he was having Hadley to himself.
Wisdom, again.
And he was going to complain over the first thing she said, until she spoke of the present time. It all seemed ridiculous, truth be told, to be wasting time from the present to discuss the uncertainty of the future, especially since he knew nothing of the future, but he knew of his PRESENT responsibilities. Instead of wondering what his life would be like in five years, he needed to focus on his life now, correct?
He wanted Nolan. Now. Or Saylen, because he was the most spontaneous around her for some strange reason. It was in one of her lessons that he decided to walk off from it. Clearly, that wouldn't be an easy decision to make if he'd been at Hadley's classroom or someone else's, but Saylen had been different.
Or he'd been different before. It was the badge. Totally. Dominic better not be judging.
Either way, five seconds passed before he could speak again. It had seemed longer, really. "It makes sense." And that was all he thought of saying, "I mean, I really never wanted to take Arithmancy in the first place, and we know what the current situation is," meaning, yes, Hadley, he was taking Arithmancy until she would take him out of the classroom, "So, I changed my academics, as any adult would change their direction in life," imagine all that amazing spare time he'll have if Arithmancy wasn't part of his timetable. "It didn't turn out so bad," that was the best compliment Hadley's class was going to get, accept it. "But I didn't take it because I thought it part of my future, I took it because it was part of my present," Hadley probably didn't have a point, but he managed to find one. Either that, or he was still talking so Hadley would correct him, as it usually happened. "Focus on the present, then." He smiled, and seemed to be a very relaxed Prefect right about now. When Treyen didn't seem to be countering her words with anything, Josephina had to watch his expressions carefully. Had that badge on his chest matured him enough to not argue against her every word? It was strange, the fifth year's silence and the brunette couldn't help herself but pop one of the mints into her mouth. As just something to do in efforts to distract her from the hufflepuff's unusual behavior.
But then, he finally spoke. And he totally AGREED with her, even relating it to Arithmancy. Smiling at his very vague compliment in amusement, she nodded. "Of course it didn't." Because she was the teacher, duh.
Oh? A part of his present? What did that mean? He felt it was time to learn some numbers so he did? "I'm glad you decided to take up the subject. Especially considering your potential interest in wandlore." Not to mention that he wasn't too terrible at that number stuff either.
Speaking of focusing on the present; "Uh. Treyen? Can I ask you something now?" She asked reluctantly, biting her lower lip. But before waiting for a response, she swallowed and then just asked, "Do you think maybe you'd be able to help me get over my fear of flying?" She could have asked Max, sure, but it would feel weird. Not to mention, technically she already had him try to teach her once. Perhaps learning from someone else might be best. ************************************ Quote:

Slow open and then there he was, the blond seventh year, standing just outside her door for the split second before he took the seat in the chair on the other side of her desk. "Hello again, Mister Chosen," Fina said, deciding on formalities again for at least initially. "What can I do for you today?" Peppermints? Chat? Homework help? Career help? Or whatever.
