"No. We always had a really good relationship, which is why this makes it so hard for me to forgive him." Mia picked up her juice and took another sip, her mind drifting off for a moment. Maybe Nik was right. Maybe she did need to sit down with her father and talk to him.
Turning back to Matty, Mia gave him a smile.
"So where do you plan on taking Marie for your first date?" Yep total change of subject. Hopefully Matty will take her cue and go with it.
