Ellie strolled into the quickly filling classroom and searched for an empty seat. She wandered until she found one, but quickly stopped mid-step. It was next to Alex... Remembering she couldn't sit next to him anymore or talk to him or look at him, Ellie found a different seat near the front. In the back of her mind, she had sort of hoped he wasn't in any of her classes. Because she was pathetic.
