It was then however, Anakin could feel footsteps coming towards him, and soon a pair of legs were stopped beside him, and Anakin could only guess that he was being spoken too. Pasting a fake smile on his face, he turned his head upwards towards the person--
He didn't have to fake a smile for long though, seeing Vashti it turned completely real and he put away all his writing materials before pushing himself off the ground to stand next to her. "Hey Queenie." BEAM. "Was just writing a letter home, what about you? Headed somewhere?" Quote:

Though the boy she saw now as she walked down the hall was rather cute even if he had ignored her on the train ride. It was almost as if he was deaf, because no boy in their right mind would ignore her otherwise.
She paid no attention to the girl that was with him, as she approached. "How come you ignored me on the train? That wasn't very nice." No one was allowed to be rude to Ripley.

He'd ignored her? Merlin's beard. And that was number one issue with being deaf, he didn't MEAN to but he always ended up offending someone. Glancing at Vash before turning back to the girl, Ani smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, I sort of have a hearing deficiency. The ignoring wasn't done on purpose. I promise." He wasn't one to purposefully IGNORE.
Offering his hand in greeting, Ani still smiled slightly sheepishly. "I'm Anakin Amstern, and this is Vashti Greenwell. You are?" A letter home? Merlin, that reminded her, she probably needed to write one to her mum. She hadn't sent once since she arrived at Hogwarts - which wasn't that long ago, but she liked to keep in touch with her mum and, yeah, her aunt too. Sometimes. "Yeah, I was heading down to the Great Hall," Vashti replied. "It-" was almost dinner time and of course she was going down early to eat - but she didn't get to finish her sentence because right then a girl she didn't know randomly came up, claiming Anakin had ignored her on the train, while seeming to ignore Vashti at the same time. Hmm?
She glanced at Anakin, waiting to see how he would handle it. And then she stared when he all but admitted that he was deaf. To, who she assumed, was pretty much a stranger. Considering how reluctant he'd be about a year ago to admit it to her, she supposed this was...what? Progress? Impressive? Something like that, sure.
Vashti offered a smile to the girl as Anakin introduced her as well as himself, but continued her silence as she waited for the girl to reply.
