Alex normally would NEVER sit next to a Slytherin, because...well, they were all MEAN to him. Or had been mean to him at least...they were starting to get better. He was meeting some nicer snakes so he wasn't as against that house as he had been last year. That was why, when he noticed a Slytherin was ASKING for a Hufflepuff to sit next to him, well he was totally going to take that bait! It wasn't every day a Slytherin WANTED to make friends with a Hufflepuff. Sierra was probably going to faint or something when she saw this. Hehe.

"I'll sit by you!" Alex said with a smile, grabbing his stuff and sitting down next to the guy. "I'm Alex, by the way," he added. Had to polite and introduce himself and stuff.
