OOHH, cake!
One attribute? That's bravery, but it's mentioned. Maybe courage will do. Raising her hand, she spoke, "Zara Griffiths, Gryffindor. Well, since bravery and chivalry is taken, maybe courage?"
Then began to munch on the cake. Nomnomnom. Quote:

"Ravenclaw selected students not just for their intelligence, but for their cleverness." After all, riddles to get into your common room weren't about book answers. Cleverness. Quote:

She didn't want to offend the houses that they are not as beautiful as the Ravenclaws. But someone from Slytherin did say that they have amazing hair, and maybe they do. Quote:

Ok... that one was pretty obvious. Meh! Quote:

Even though Amy didn't really do the hard work thing and prefered to slump around the house eating chocolate and stunning choco frogs so she didn't need to move. Still, she liked History of Magic.. Oh and, totally not vain Amy said slyly. Maybe motherly she said, thinking of Sarah and Lori and how nice they'd been to her when she was crying about leaving. A year later, she was back. Still... Now, could people just say their answers so he could start with the cake? Like... Right now? Quote:

...Well, she'll think about that one. But, she had a question to answer. However, before she could answer the question, she had the important task of staring at that one boy who just answered that Slytherin wanted people with good hair. Good Merlin! Obviously we now know why he wasn't in Ravenclaw. It was already a given that all the Slytherin were amazingly good looking. No need to want it. It just happened on it's own. "Slytherin also valued ambition in his students." Quote:

However he was about to answer when the professor moved on to the next one. He raised his hand to offer what came to mind question however. "Simon Bennett...Gryffindor house," he said giving identification first before continuing. "I think an atrribute for Gryffindor would be balance seeing as he wanted all of magical ability to attend Hogwarts." Quote:

Honestly? He had no idea. He'd spent his first four yeas at Beauxbatons and he'd never needed to read Hogwarts: A History. He thought his answer was a pretty good guess though.
The professor turned after each answer to make sure that the attributes were being listed under the right color and then would turn back and give a “Good job!” or a “Great answer.” to everyone that gave her an answer to her question. She knew it was an easy one and that many were not sure where she was going with this, but there was a point to her madness.
She stopped on one young man’s answer. Quote:

Simon looked at the Professor and decided to ask her something. "Why does the board need to know our name?" Simon was getting fed up of saying it over and over again. "Well anyway the Hufflepuff house is for people who are brave enough to own up when they have done something wrong." Simon smiled. She smiled at him and answered his question after seeing his frustration on her directions, “Well, Mr. Simpson, as I have mentioned twice now. The board is charmed so you must let it know what house your are in so that it will file your answer under the correct heading.” she said with a little edge to her voice. Gemma hated repeating herself. She smiled at his answer, “Yes that is a great attribute. Thank you for your answer.” Quote:

Her name was foreign, so it was an honest mistake, but she didn't want the poor professor to get her homework assignment from a Kurumi Hollingberry and be confused.
"Godric Gryffindor also valued determination," she continued with her hand raised in the air. Gemma smiled at the smart young girl, “O I am so sorry Ms. Hollingberry. I will fix it.” she said with a flick of her wand. “And great answer!” she was really starting to like this one.
She glanced back at the class, “Keep them coming...a few more minutes and then we can cut into the cakes.!” she said knowing that the cakes were teasing the students but she also knew the wait would be well worth it.
