He couldn't ALWAYS be serious about this. It would drive him psycho. With his brown eyes still turned toward the Andrei man, Alexander put down his paperwork and swiveled his chair around to face the man. "Tell me, Mr. Andrei," he said. "Have you heard of any other werewolves, animagi, or the like employed on this level or anywhere else in the Ministry?" He paused for a few moments, letting his question linger in the air for a bit before continuing. "I rest assure you there are plenty of others." In other words, yes--your secret is safe. "I called you into the privacy of my office to discuss the matter, hmm?" Alexander studied the man for a few seconds, taking note of the grin on his face, and then...the Senior Undersecretary grinned, as well.
No, he wasn't a completely no-nonsense man.
