Scanning each of the shiny trophies and plaques, Vashti didn't recognize most of the names there, but that didn't really bother her. She wasn't really trying to read them. Much as she loved reading, it required working your brain, and her brain had been overworked the past few days. She clearly needed a better way to study if it made her so tired she wasn't happy reading anything!
But then she was suddenly pulled out of her little daze by someone saying her name. Turning, she found- "Ari!" She grinned at her first year friend. She had been wondering what the girl had been up to. And, oh yeah! "Congrats on Gryffindor," she said with a nod. Vashti had been hoping a little that Ari would be in Ravenclaw with her, but that was okay. Gryffindor was good too. Not as good or awesome as Ravenclaw though, hehe.
"I'm alright, as was my summer," she replied. Nothing much to talk about really. The last part of summer had been pretty quiet and calm for her, which was a good thing. "How about you?"
Ari was very happy to see Vashti, she had actually missed her since they finished their shopping on Diagon Alley and parted.
'Thank you. I'm proud to be a Gryffie. I wasn't sure I had it in me, but I guess there must be something that separates me from my family.' she mused.
'At least they were okay with it, although they hoped for Ravenclaw, as I told you in summer.' the girl added.
'I didn't do much, just prepared for school, spent time with my family and my Muggle friends, but nothing else.' she replied.
'Did you have any classes yet? What do you think about the new professors?' Of course, for Ari they were all new...
