Having been standing near the door, Simon backed up out of the room to let Vindictus leave himself. He bit back a laugh at the older man's response to the thoughts on the hat being cursed, though still highly amused by it and the picture the professor presented. He just wasn't about to do or say something he'd regret so he kept his expression calm.
"It shouldn't be too far, though with all thats scattered around, the seams of the opening are blurred," he mused turning to better face the open deck again, wondering where to start looking. For all they knew some of the ropes and such could have been deliberately placed to hide its local from explorers or robbers.
