"And hey, I wasn't making fun of the name," Okay, maybe he kind of was, "I think it's, uh, a good name for a crup." Of course, all the cool crups were named after foods. And a crup that barks at muggles? That would be awesome. Except maybe not for Dal, since most of his family were muggles.
"Very odd," he agreed, still smirking as Ivory looked around the room. He couldn't help but grin at the way she laughed even though she was talking. That fact was even better than what she said. "Ya know what? We should! Gavin and Barty can be great friends." Of course he was joking, because he really didn't believe that two animals could be friends.

Grinning at the phrase, Ivory gave a little nod. The ultimate guard dog is what it sounded like. The Ravenclaw's lips parted about to comment on that when she was suddenly caught by surprise. Large dark eyes blinked at Dallin. Once and then again.
"Twins? You have twin siblings too?" Her face broke out into a smile. Heh, what a coincidence.
Her laughter now under control, she laughed at his choice of words. If not great friends then they could at least share treats or roosts or...whatever it is birds prized.
