Hey Seneca. I want to tell you first thing that I love this chapter! Very good job writing. I really can't tell you what was my favorite part. The whole thing was very good. I am very curious about her mom's death. I love the way you wrote this.
Quote:
“I’m sorry.” Jaxon said when she was out of earshot. He moved to stand right in front of her. “You can tell me when you want to.” He wiped her cheek with the back of his hand. “Come and get something to eat.”
As he was leaving Coralie finally spoke up. “Jaxon?”
He turned around in the doorway, one hand paused on the frame.
“Thank you.” she said. “For everything.”
Half a smile spread over his face before he finally left.
Coralie waited. She couldn’t tell him how her mom died, she just couldn’t. But she couldn’t keep this secret either.
It says a lot, but so much left for us to wonder about.
Thank you for putting in the part about her teaching herself to read. That was important and I think it says a lot for her character. I'm very anxious to read more. I'll be watching for your next.
