Ella jogged up the stone steps towards the Owlery. It was getting late and she wanted to send the letters as soon as possible!
A mouse was swinging from the right hand, the letters were clutched in her left. When she reached the top, she held up the mouse and started to call softly for the owl.
'Lullah? Where are youuuu!' A high pitched hoot was heard, and in a second Lullah had flown down and landed on Ella's hand.
Walking over to the window sill, Ella attached the six letters to the little owl while Lullah ate her mouse. 'Fly safely, little one!' Ella stroked her and stood back as Lullah took off into the night. Ella stood there until the little white owl was out of sight,
Sighing, she turned and jogged back down the stone steps, now on her way back to the Common Room.
