Quite the trickster, he's outgoing and very spontaneous, therefore fun to hang around. He has a turtle named Pebbles with the same awful eating habits as himself. He is probably THE weirdest guy you will ever meet. He's a bit of a daredevil, if you challenge him to do something he'll do it - because you challenged him. At times doesn't finish things that he's started. This can include chores, sentences and as some people like to remind him, getting dressed. In his defence, he was much too groggy to care.
His parents spoil him a bit and when he was younger he got everything he asked for, this is why he developed such a strong addiction to candy and cannot even go a day without, and had never had to until recently. Jimbo Farley without candy in his system is not a pretty sight.
With maturity, Jimbo has become a lot more civilized - however, not completely. Where he might not go around throwing dungbombs as often, he would still get into a duel at the beside the black lake with a girl he's only just met. His planned attacks have become much more sneaky and sly, replacing a an impulsive prank with a cunning manipulation of words. Still a nutcase, Jimbo Farley is without a doubt…unique.

Jimbo started Hogwarts in his third year. His parents home-schooled him for a bit because they thought that he would learn better if he set his own pace. Unfortunately, as time went on it got harder to home-school him and continue with their daily lives. They figured that Jimbo would do fine at Hogwarts considering he held good grades and they had taught him well. He lives in a muggle neighbourhood, separate from other wizards and spends his summers hanging around with his muggle guy friends being annoyingly followed by the girls of his neighbourhood who have always had their sights set on him since he was younger. As the years wore on, they have gotten more and more up front and obvious about their stalking. Just this last summer he was at the muggle mall and had gone to the washroom only to find out that the girls had been hiding in the stalls of the MALE washroom. He'd been the subject of their unwanted affections for years and his muggle friends don’t miss the opportunity to torture him for it. When he arrived at Hogwarts, he met Iris Beaumont who dubbed him 'Jimbo' and from then on it stuck. To try and return the favour, Jimbo dubbed her 'Monty', which is a nickname only he uses for the Slytherin Head Girl. The both of them have been best friends for five years and inevitably, Jimbo has begun to take a liking for Monty that surpasses friendship. However, it makes a very unfortunate situation considering that the Head Girl is dating the Slytherin Quidditch Captain.
