His mother and father, are archeologists who travel and look for magical artifacts all over the world. That's why Jai was always at school and never home for the holidays until summer. He was always moving about with his parents. This made it hard for him to have a close relationship with his parents. The last place he went was China. There is where he finally convinced his parents to send him to Hogwarts. his friend Cassie was a student here and told him all about it. At least he would have a friend during the year. He had no brothers or sisters. He gave up asking for one every christmas when he spent his first christmas at Durmstrang. His parents hadn't made it back from Rome when it was time for him to go.
