"Luke?" Maybelle's eyes got all big and her smile widened so much that it felt like her face was going to fall off. "Luke O'Connor? From California?" She said laughing. "Well, Luke, of course it's Maybelle Ozera." She said. "It's been like forever since I've seen you!" She said. She felt so excited that she just..wanted to...HUG HIM!! "I was almost eaten by my minion army of flying monkeys. I'm going to conquer the Earth with them, you know." He said all this in a serious, matter-o-fact tone. Then, ignoring her 'look' he just nodded seriously, because it was all true.
"I know," Luke said to Maybelle with a big grin on his face.
"It's been so long." Then, he couldn't help it, he gave Maybelle a hug, because she was just his best friend.
"Unless you lose it," he said to her last comment, then he turned back to Isobel.
"Yes, we know each other. We went to the same Wizarding school in California. She was my best friend. Still is, I guess." He may not be
her best friend, but she was still his.
