He nodded, once, and then smiled before answering her question, "I'm doing very good, especially now that I have a cupcake from Kurumi," he gestured towards the box, which he now closed. Wouldn't want anyone to take it from him, or for the cupcake to go flying around the Great Hall.
But why had she covered her mouth? She didn't say anything wrong...that he knows of.
Oh, man, he shouldn't have done that. She was stuttering now, though, he saw no reason for it to happen. Treyen understood nothing from what she said, "I know you bake, and you're amazingly good at it," just a couple more compliments, he felt slightly bad that he failed to get her a present. Arya was getting one from the World Cup, and so was Ellie. He should've thought of Kurumi.
Wait.
He saw THAT. "Wait, Kurumi...," he said, in case she wanted to hurry back to her table, "Your hair...," he frowned only a bit as he tried to come up with words before speaking again, "...it changed colors." But he had said it in a very soft and low tone, so, only Kurumi could hear that since he was sort of close to her. No eavesdroppers could've heard that.
"Do you know it does that?" he whispered, her actions told him she did.
Especially now that he had one of her cupcakes?! Kurumi had to hold her breath so as not squeak too loudly and embarrass herself further. Ug...just why did Treyen's smile have to be so sparkly and charming? Her sunglasses were only dimming it slightly, but the effects were still there.
Kurumi was just about to turn and rush back to the Gryffindor table when...gulp...he stopped her.
"
W-W-What?" she asked swiveling around on her heels and putting on her best innocent face, but it probably looked more like she was wrinkling her nose at something. "
Did it really?" she asked trying to laugh off the embarrassment, but not removing her hood.
She took a glance down at the tips of her hair and saw that they were still pink. Time to think about paint chipping...or...what was it her father had suggested? Thinking about ice because it cools the head faster?
It took a little, but her hair finally returned to its usual ebony and she was able to focus on Treyen
's perfect smile.
"
I do...my father is," she leaned in and lowered her voice. "
...a metamorphagus. I've known I can do it for a long time...but only just knew why..."
And now she probably looked like a dork.
