Hearing the little guy's name, Ivory gave a nod. Strong and cute at the same time. "I'm sure he didn't mind being nameless for a little while if the reward was getting a great name like that." Thinking of her little brothers' Pygmy whom was simply called Poof because he regularly disappeared without a trace, she continued. "Not many pygmys can say that much effort was put into their name." Yup, the pygmy was a lucky pygmy to have such a caring owner. "Why it's a name the other pygymies can't make fun of." she added with a smile.
Iris chuckled at Ivory's comments about her owl. "Ahh, I'm sure he's nice most of the time though, right?" Well... looking at how he is now, Iris doubted her own comment. Politeness was the key, though!
Smiling proudly at what the Ravenclaw said about Iris's choice of name, Iris laughed. "You're probably right... Haha." Petting the pink ball of fluff, the Head Girl sighed, contently. "A name they can't make fun of. Definitely." She said, nodding. SPOILER!!: Treyen Quote:

What disappointed him about the cupcakes was that he'd failed to pack something else to eat on the train, so now he ought to make a stop on the trolley while on the train. Not that he didn't want to, he usually did it anyway.
But now Treyen was on the train, and Thaddeus was coming with him, instead of riding with his owl, the poor little Knarl had spent the same awful evening as his owner thanks to his most amazing decision of heading out to the beach instead of packing. Clever decision, clearly, because the sun-kissed skin went perfectly well with his amber eyes. He didn't regret it, the beach-instead-of-packing time, but he would've wanted to sleep a bit more. It was all in the past, and he was completely excited about Hogwarts, as usual. Only, this year, even more.
The train seemed friendlier to him this time because he already knew where he'll be sitting, there was no wondering which compartment to take...nor who'll he be sitting with...nothing of the sorts. Though, he still didn't know who the female Prefect for Hufflepuff was. "Morning, ladies!" he exclaimed, opening the door at once. No knocking, or anything remotely similar. The boy held a smile on his face, one smile that got wider as he noticed Ivy already inside, "Ivy, how are you?" he asked, giving one nod to the Ravenclaw, and then his eyes went over to...Iris, right? "Hey there, I'm Treyen...Lockhart, and I don't believe we've met, like, officially." He said, nodding two times, "But I know you're Iris." No need for her to introduce herself, no? No.
And now the younger Lockhart just...took a seat...wherever, it truly didn't matter.
Iris looked away from Ivy as someone else came into the compartment. Smiling, she nodded. "Iris, yup... and no, I don't think we've ever talked properly." Well, they might have occasionally spoken to each other in class, but nothing major... SPOILER!!: Patroclus, Sophie, Ayra Quote:

Arriving in the Perfect compartment, he called out the window to his father who stood on the platform, "OK send them to me!" One by one, miniture charmed versions of his suitcases floated through the window, only to return to their usual sizes as they touched down onto the floor of the compartment, "Thanks Father! Love you!" He called, unashamed to express his adoration for the man who was not only his father but his hero and idol.
Turning to the other Perfects whom he had smiled at on his way in, "Hello everyone!" he cried, excited to be heading back to school, taking off his sunglasses and placing them into his hand luggage Quote:

By some miracle the muggle volvo car was packed with trunk, pets and family on the usual leave time. What got the whole family in a stressed state was that they had to drive back two times to the house to fetch Sophie's diary and a second time for her prefect badge.*flail*
It was a flushed, red faced and not to mention overly stressed Gryffindor prefect that dragged her trunk into the still open prefect compartment. Sophie sat her cat carrier down on along with her hand luggage before she even acknowledged the other prefects already seated. Plastering on a smile Sophie managed to Patroclus, Iris and Ivy. "Hey everyone! How was your last few days of summer?"
Seeing a darkhaired boy whom she couldn't quite place (Treyen) she walked over and stuck a hand out saying "Hi! I don't think we've met? I'm Sophie Connolly, Gryffindor sixth year prefect." Quote:

Her trusty kneazle who was almost more than enough of a distraction for her. The silly thing had been after her shiny prefect badge ever since she'd received it, and so she wasn't currently wearing it as to keep it safe until charms could be placed upon the badge by herself.
He still got affectionate nuzzles as she weaved through the crowds of smaller students, him being the only one she could currently give that kind of affection to. Sigh. The sight of the prefects compartment had a smile working its way onto her lips and she pressed her forehead against the door when reaching it, peering inside. Perseus mimicked her movements, balancing on her shoulder as he placed his front paws on the window and glanced into the unexplored compartment with curiosity that grew until he could no longer just glance.
The soft pawing on the window and then nuzzles of encouragement that she received from him was enough to have her opening the door and smiling in greeting at the faces of her co-prefects.... but not her co-prefect.
Who was he again? "Hey guys." A few distracted wiggles of her fingers were sent to the others as she watched Perseus hop off her shoulder and begin to prance around the compartment as if he owned it. Explore away my feline companion. "Ivyleaf." She plopped into the seat beside her bestie, and slung her arms around her for hugs before easing back into the seat. "Gavin." Cute sleeping falcon. Heh.
So many distractions in this compartment. Including... "Treyen?" Her eyes finally did a proper sweep of the room as she greeted the others again with more distracted smiles and finger wiggles, and settled on someone she didn't expect to see in the compartment. What was her best badger buddy doing in here?
As the Prefects' quickly filled the compartment, Iris offered each of them a friendly smile. "Hullo!"
Hmmmm. Were she and Finlay going to have to come up with some kind of a meeting for the Prefects? ... Improv'ing meetings didn't seem fun, but if that was the case... SPOILER!!: Finn Quote:

It wasn't that he didn't like his co-prefects, because they were pretty epic, but he had other friends that he wanted to see, before they kind of didn't see each other considering that they'd have tons of work to do.
Ahh. He was here now. Pushing the compartment door open he walked into the compartment. "Hey guys." Headboy Carmicheal at your service. It seemed quite a few of them were here now. Maybe he should've come a bit sooner. Ahh well. He was here now and that was all that mattered.
Ah! Here he was, finally. It would have been nice for him to show up a little sooner, but no matter. Finlay had arrived now. Half-smiling at him, Iris nodded. "Hey, Finlay."
Glancing around the compartment, Iris guessed that about half the prefects were here now; if not more. Maybe now would be a suitable time to get something productive started. Particularly about those news reports about the ship in the lake -- SPOILER!!: Aaron<3 Quote:

*peek* Ah, hell. None of the other captains are in there... What if the rules have changed??? What if they don't want me in there??? What if I step in and THE TRAIN EXPLODES!!?!
No, no, no. That would be foolish. Aaron was quite unsure whether or not to enter the prefect's compartment... As it stood, all his friends- Iris- were in there. And yes, he was allowed in last year, but he would be the only captain in there! Hmmm... decisions, decisions. Waaaaaait a minute. I'm Slytherin Captain, and Iris is Head Girl. ... WE ARE SLYTHERIN'S GOLDEN COUPLE! Aaron mentally did a fist pump as he entered the compartment. "Helloooooooooo, everyone!" [/grandentrance]
... Eyeroll.
Always wanting to attract some attention to himself, wasn't he?
Seeing Aaron, she glanced towards him and smiled. Iris couldn't help but smile around Aaron... as silly as that might sound. "Hey, you." This didn't mean ALL the Captains were going to show up, did it? ... Maybe having them closer to the Prefects than last term would be good though... 'Cause y'know... with the mysterious ship and all, it didn't look like it was going to be a quiet term. SPOILER!!: Evan and Aaron. lolol. Quote:

Dragging his luggage to the front of the train, he got on and headed directly towards the prefect compartment. Better to get done with this 'meeting' thing than to do anything else and rush back here. Plus he needed somewhere to leave his luggage, and these trustworthy people, with Iris being a Head Girl now--WHAT?!--were perfect for it. "You are the head girl."
He stood at the entrance, oblivious that he was pretty much blocking it. "Iris Beaumont is the head girl."
He blinked. Come to think about it, she was the best canditate, but still... "Congrats."
Did this mean that she was his head or something? Because that wasn't going to happen. Iris Beaumont could never be over Evan Cartwright. Just... impossible. Impossible like the world's stopping today.
Moving at last, he levitated his trunk and put it over the shelves. Then, he seated himself, leaving some room for Sophie. He had to talk to her about... yeah... later. "Hello, people," he greeted the rest at last. There was only one boy and one girl who he didn't know... both being from Hufflepuff. No wonder why he didn't know them. "I'm Evan Cartwright." His Slytherin-ness was visible with his badge on his Muggle clothes. He had put that on on the Platform. His eyes travelled at the shiny "HG" badge on Iris again... Wow. Quote:

As the Quidditch Captain turned to meet the confusion, his guesses were correct. And as more immature thoughts came to Aaron's head, it was very hard for him to not crack up. He may have let out a laugh or two. "Long time, no see Mr. Cartwright..." Aaron said very casually. The two boys had a rough history, but Aaron was the one to let it all go... even if he was a bit crazy his second year. "Think about it like this. ALL of us get to represent Slytherin!!! Aren't we best for the job???" Aaron knew the blondy was in shock and would probably have something to say for that... BUT the Captain shot Iris a look of 'he. he.' and added a smirk.
Her eyes were dragged away from her boyfriend at the arrival of the other Slytherin leader. Evan. She smirked at the look on his face, unable to contain herself. A small laugh may have escaped from her. "You seem awfully surprised, Evan." She raised her eyebrow at him. Cartwright didn't seem impressed at all with her Headship. " ... Thanks."
As Aaron turned to the boy, Iris rolled her eyes and hoped to Merlin that he wouldn't say anything inappropriate. That was the last thing Iris needed right now. When Aaron made a comment about them representing Slytherin, the Blonde's mouth curled ever-so-slightly into the teeniest of smiles. That one was going to annoy Evan a lot.
Iris cocked her brow at Aaron, shaking her head in slight disbelief. There was still a little grin there, though. "Shut up and sit down... both of you." SPOILER!!: Jacob Quote:

Go in or not... Go in or Not? Why were choices so hard? Nope, he wasn't going in... Maybe... What ever, Jacob just needed to go in unnoticed and calm, like he belongs. Just nice, calm, and quiet.
Jacob quickly threw the door open. "Dahlings, I Have Arrived!" he said loudly with his arm open as if he were a celebrity that would be photographed.
Yeah... not quiet Calm or unnoticed. What if they Kicked him out for that? No, Jacob was too awesome to be kicked out... right?
Iris cocked her eyebrow at the boy as he entered the compartment, making his ego clearly known. "Good for you." Iris stated, plainly.
Seeing as though the Captains weren't a necessary part of the meetings in this compartment, he hardly deserved a round of applause for finding where the prefects were. SPOILER!!: Simon Quote:

Simon came up tot he compartment just as Jacob his fellow captain had thrown upon the door to announce his entrance causing him to roll his eyes.
"New term new chance for the quidditch cup, Blunt..." he remarked a smirk on his face as if countering the younger boy's behavior as more meant for last term when Ravenclaw had indeed won. "So this is the fabled prefects' compartment," he mused aloud looking around once he had slid the door closed behind himself and stepped further inside. His gaze now noticing both of his house's returning prefects as well as one out of the two remaining fellow quiditch captains.
Smiling as Simon walked in, Iris was slightly relieved to see a captain arrive who wasn't completely bonkers. "Hullo, Simon. You're not here simply to remind us all that you're on the train, too, are you?" She asked, bluntly looking towards the Ravenclaw captain.
