Theodore had begun to back away, slowly, wondering if he'd be able to run off if this tyrant didn't pursue him and attempt to wring his neck. Upon hearing a voice, and a rather familiar one at that, he froze as fresh wave of surprise washed over him. But this voice was rather friendly, and this person seemed to know him. Reluctantly turning his head for fear that the bully would take advantage to punch him to a pulp right then and there, Theodore turned and his expression lightened up as he saw one of the friendly students he had met in Diagon Alley: Braeden.
The curly-headed teen's fears dissipated for a short moment as he processed the other student's greeting. Theo? Was that a "thing," now? He supposed he didn't mind his new nickname, considering that his name's full pronunciation was utterly embarrassing. He turned to face the tyrant, apparently dubbed Riley, for a moment before he looked at Braeden with a terrified expression on his face. "I... I..." Glancing from his robes, to the lion-maned boy, to Riley, back to his robes, and then Braeden once more, he spoke the first thing that came to mind. "I didn't know about the robe thing," He mumbled, glancing at the angry teen once more. Theodore took a hand to rub his temple, which was still throbbing from the collision. Riley indeed looked as if the collision between Theodore's skull and his cheekbone was forming quite the mark on his face.
Would Braeden be able to piece together what had happened? If Braeden knew Riley, would he know what a short temper he possessed? Instinctively, Theodore side-stepped closer to the kinder of the two that he stood near, for fear of getting dropkicked in the corridor of the train. He feared that if he spoke a word of what had just passed that Riley would really have it in for him.

Chuckling with amusement at the shorter boy's innocence, Braeden elbowed him playfully. "Hey don't worry 'bout it, mate; I did the same thing my first three years here. You'd think I would've learned after the first time…" he trailed off, shaking his head slightly to himself, as if disappointed by his own silliness.
"Anyway, I see you two have met now, eh?" added the Gryffindork with one of his lopsided grins as he turned his large brown eyes to Riley, then to Theo, and back. "Check it out, Ri, he's from the States," Braeden announced to his old friend, as if someone from the States was that unusual of a sight. But, for Braeden, who had never been outside of his hometown, Hogsmeade, and a volcanic island in Italy, anyone from outside his hometown was a completely difference species; and a fascinating species, too.
It wasn't long until a whole line had formed behind Braeden, though, and the boy found himself shoved into the nearest compartment. OHEY! It was empty, too! Niiiice!
Poking his head out the compartment door, Braeden turned to his two friends, "I got shoved and pushed into found an empty compartment, guys!"
Staring at the curly haired kid he wasn't sure whether or not to punch him in the face to show him how bad his face hurt or let him be. Being the merciful and kind Gryffindor he was, Riley did NOT punch him (Mostly out of fear his uncontrollable locks would attack his hand like a bubotuber plant). Before another insult could spill from the spoiled boy's mouth Brae showed up, even though he was his friend, the up-beat and happy Gryffindor seemed to worsen his mood in times of personal strife like these sometimes.
"Hey Brae." he said massaging his cheek for a second and then letting his hand down. He wasn't going to mention what happened to the guy because he seemed to be friends with the troll. Kind of just nodding and agreeing here and there, Riley glanced a death stare at the other kid, Theo or whatever. This was not over in between them even if they had to pretend to be friends for Brae's sake, but he would not always be around.
Walking past Braeden, sure he woundn't take notice of his usual sour mood, Riley entered the compartment and took the best seat by the window out of habit. As if Theo wasn't there Riley began to speak.
"I DID notice he was a Yank Brae and why is it you act as the shelter home for kids?" he was making fun of his nice demenor to strangers and how it was would be looked down upon in his family, especially Americans. Pfft..another thing to not like about Theo.
