The man looked across the room in earnest, looking for his long-time friend, Rye. At times like this, when you're new to a country, new to a job, shouldn't buddies stick together? So where was Rye? Ah. Troublesome as always, no? Declan walked around, looking for the cubicle with his name on it or his position, giving his workmates a slight curtsy as he walked passed them.
Violet looked up from furiously scribbling her information on her paperwork as a nice-looking, well-dressed man entered and offered a slight curtsy to her.
Ah, a friendly face! She'd been looking for one since she'd arrived 20 minutes ago.
She smiled at him in appreciation and murmured a soft, "Hello" to him. He looked like he knew his way around here. Nice to know, since she hadn't a clue as of yet.
