True winter had burst into life, in a splendid show of snowfall. Sometime during the night, the ground had disappeared under sheets over sheets of pure, sparkling white. Snowflakes fell to the ground even now, soft and silent. Most would have called the scene beautiful.

For Tonks, it was anything but.

"You can't." Her voice was low, silent, disbelieving. Then it was angry. "You can't do this to me, Remus. We can discuss this -"

"There's nothing left to discuss." His voice was calm. Polite.

Indifferent?

She wondered if she would ever enjoy the sight of snow, again.
