Penny wiped her hand on her wranglers and then stuck it out. "I'm Penelope Lockwood. Penny, if ya don't mind." Her southern accent rang clear as she spoke giving testament for the billionth time that day that she was a little out of place.
Oh well, being different was good.
Samira looked the girl up and down, from her shoes to her thick accent. Definitely different. Samira didn't really know what to make of it. Different wasn't necessarily bad, but she was always aware of people around her.
"A fox," she gave the faintest hint of a smile.
"Very cool." The Slytherin bent down carefully and patted the fox a bit. She stood up as tall and confident as she could.
"Hello, Penny. My name is Samira. Samira Spinks." She shook Penny's hand. Samira made sure her handshake was firm, not weak or limp or flimsy. Handshakes say a lot about someone's personality. Samira finally pushed her sunglasses off her face and let them rest on her head, revealing her bright eyes. Time to make eye-contact.
"Sooo," she drawled, smiling a little.
"I take it you're not from here?"
