Um, imagine that you charmed a bus to fly in the air." With Eino, she had gone into how the engines of the plane produce forward thrust, which in turn makes the aircraft go forward. Also, how the wings are airfoil-shaped, so, when the aircraft moves forward they push air downward, which in turn pushes the aircraft upwards. But, Kurumi saved Hugo the pain of trying to sort through all that.
