Either way, the plan had seemed to be a good one as Bowie had tried to make things difficult for her, both upon leaving the castle and upon her leaving her flat again to return for the feast and to retrieve the rest of her things. The funny part was that she'd ran into Jared in London too, and they'd ended up coming back at the same time. Not to mention deciding to walk into the feast together, which admittedly had made her look for Rae as they'd made their way to the dais.
Stepping up onto it, she'd sent a smile toward the opposite end of the table, to Jeremy, Kimber and Professor Lafay, wishing she'd managed to talk to her colleagues more this term, before she'd turned to Max and Headmaster Tate. Giving the two men a nod and another smile, she amused herself by the fact she still had a hard time thinking of the Ravenclaw head of house as something other than Professor Vindictus. Old habit and all. But then she was at their end of the table, and she arched an eyebrow slightly as Jared pulled her chair out for her. She chose to not say anything at the moment, though, as he'd gone on to address their tablemates. "Good evening Monsieur Stryker," she said, intentionally including the groundskeeper as Jared had not, and using a title he'd most likely be more familiar with even now, before sending a friendly smile to Maya and Josephina. Maybe they could try to talk more at this feast than she'd managed at the earlier one. She certainly wanted to.
But first, Jared, and as he turned to her again, she grinned. "I was thinking the same," she replied, echoing his amusement. As long as they avoided certain other incidents from the previous feast.
The little redheaded picked up her trailing robes behind her as she ran to the Staff table. In her small hand was a little box. As she crossed the front of the tables she nodded to each Professor and smiled to them. They had really made her year quite remarkable. However, she was on a mission to find one Professor in particular. Her first year would have been a lot harder without the support of this one person.
When she found out about her... condition Bishop was right there to help her along. She took time with her and made her realize that perhaps one day her curse would be controllable. Selina was grateful for the support. Hogwarts was great and all, but sometimes the support was daunting because it had to be sought in the form of Professors.
Once she reached Bishop Selina shyly spoke up, "Um, excuse me ma'am? I uh, have something for you. A thank you for everything you've done this year. I don't know what I would have done without your guidance and support, but mostly just the support." Taking in a deep breath Selina said, "Good teachers- teach. Great teachers- inspire. You inspired me this year, ma'am. I hope that you will accept this."
Then Selina outstretched her hand and put the
gift on the table.
