In anyways, she strutted into the hall and looked across the large room to the gryffindor table hoping to catch a glimpse of her best friend and she did, chatting away as usual. Cass grinned and waved, mouthing that she would be over there soon, she of course wanted to sit at her table first. The second table that caught her eyes was the slytherin table. She craned her neck as much as she could to try and spot Freddie but didn't see him. Perhaps he wasn't coming to the feast. The small smile that was lingering on her lips from seeing her bestie quickly faded.
Cassie plopped down on the first empty spot she found at the table not bothering to look who she was sitting next to, until she bumped him by accident.
" 0oh I'm sor----Freddie!!!" Cassie threw her arms around the boy and gave him a crushing hug and beamed at him as she released him. Well she wasn't expecting to see him here." what are you doing at the hufflepuff table?"
Freddie was in two minds whether to just leave and go and join his fellow snakes at the Slytherin table, or to stay here feeling uncomfortable. He chewed his cheek anxiously feeling like he really shouldn't be here sitting with the Hufflepuffs and was SURE they were ignoring his green presence on purpose. Not that he'd be too chuffed having to make small talk with people he didn't know.
He reached out to help himself to a drink just at the moment a particularly clumsy Huffie decided to plonk themselves next to him. Pumpkin juice slopped all over Freddie's sleeve and the table, turning the white table cloth a soggy off orange colour. He grimaced about to open his gob and allow a load of profanities in his thick cockney accent loose on the idiot beside him, but he was stopped dead in his tracks as he was caught in an embrace he wasn't expecting. The annoyance died away almost immediately and a small smile graced his lips instead of the scowl that was threatening.
“Cassandra” He said, instead of swearing at the poor girl. He was usually pretty chilled these days, but stress was a catharsis for his old behaviour.
He released her and looked at her properly. She was always so well groomed.. even in her uniform.
“I just thought I'd see if I liked it it here.” He teased her lightly.
“Cant say that I'm keen on all this yellow” Wink. “Nahh.. I wanted to see you..” Another rare smile. Cassie would be missed. GREATLY missed.
