What he had seen from a distance, hadn't concerned him. But with each step forward, his brow had furrowed that much more, and his concern had risen. He had seen the chicken's fly and the whirlwinds and that had started him in a sprint down the hill. Now, skidding around the corner he was somewhat shocked and confused to find a paint war going on. If it wasn't for the words they were tossing back and forth, let alone their tone, he wouldn't have thought it more than a friendly duel, as him and Kellen had shared before. But their tone, their very looks chilled him right to the bone.
Without thinking of what he was doing, or what the consequences might be, Sabel bolted forward, hoping over the fence to the collective, wand flicking into his hand. It took a few strides before he skidded to a stop in front of Arya, his hand snapping up just as the paint reached them, bouncing and splattering all over the shield that was drawn up. A gust of air snapped up and billowed out in all directions, as if taking the place of a silent shout to stop. What. The. Hell?
