Kimber looked over at Chad and raised a skeptical eyebrow.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that," she said, returning his gentle hand squeeze.
Hearing someone approach, she turned her head to the other side and saw that the boy from the reference desk had returned. Apparently, having had no luck.
"Looks like break time is over," she said, straightening her posture.

Turning the corner to the Foreign Languages, Jake was instantly met with the hand hold, shelf-leaning couple.
Now that was odd... weren't they arguing or something a second ago? What a quick reconcilliation.
Because Jake had had experiences of being shouted at when walking up to people who were holding hands and talking in private (something about ruining a moment?), he decided to hang back a little bit. He had absolutely no knowledge of either staff member, wasn't even sure he knew their names... so disrupting them would be stupid. Yup.
Sooooooooo, for the moment, Jake turned to look at the books on the shelves. In truth, these were ones he hadn't read, because he only knew English, and of course snippets of Latin for spellwork. Maybe Latin would be a good one to learn properly; Jake tapped the spine of one of the books... yes Latin would be good.
"Nothing in the History books, huh?" she asked, taking a few quiet steps towards the student.
"Maybe there is one more place we could try," she offered.
"But... I would have to escort you and the Library is a bit busy right now..." Though maybe he wouldn't mind waiting just a few hours.
