Okay great. She kept herself together so far. If her mother was gong to get reamarried, then Caroline was having her friends over, whenever and however long she wanted. It's yellow for my favorite Hufflepuff. I have too many of them."She grinned at her. "Thanks it's just that mum and I haven't gotten along too well since dad died 5 years ago."

Kita was confused. Why was Caroline giggling? And then the answer hit her. She closed her mouth and blushed. Maybe this was the year of embarrassment. "Oh dear! She can't be that bad," she said. Unless... can she? "She should have told you. I mean, you told her about dating Carter." She did right?

Her mum what? "She doesn't?" she asked, "Well, this summer is going to be an interesting summer..." She just hoped that she wouldn't be getting Caroline into trouble. But then again, her mum was getting married and only told her now that she had been dating someone.

"I know!" she said, "It's gone by way too quickly." It felt like yesterday that she had started the year groaning about work overload. And now there are finals. Great(!)

"Oh no, but you have to," Kita said, smiling at Caroline, "It's kind of a way of saying thank you for the year." Oh dear! Cheesy much? "Plus, they have a hint of green on them," she said. If they were the right pair, then yeah they were. And then she watched as Caroline took off a bracelet and held it out to her. "Oh my days!" she said, looking down at the bracelet and then up at Caroline, "Thank you!" She gave her best friend another hug.

"Oh no!" she said, gasping. If that had happened between her and her mum... She didn't want to think about it. "I'm really sorry to hear about your father," she whispered.
