Nika added incase she is wrong which she probably is. Samira resisted the strong urge to slap her palm to her forehead. Merlin help me... "Um. Sure, yeah." Yeah, if you wanted the very, very simple, striped down, and blanket answer. Samira could explain Quidditch when she was three. In her sleep. "What the heck is a goalie?" She waved a hand and didn't pause to let Nika answer. "Never mind. This is worse than I thought!" she started to pace back and forth on the pitch. "So here's the basics: There are seven people on the team, total. There are three goals. Each team has one Keeper who guards the goals to keep the Quaffle out. A Quaffle is what the teams use to pass and score. There are three Chasers. Those are the people who score the goals using the Quaffle. Are you following so far? The guy that 'tries to smack you with a bat' is called a beater. (And they don't try to smack the players with a bat!) There are two of them and there job is to keep bludgers-those big balls that try to hit the players-away from their team mates and aim it at the opposing team. She paused. A moment to make sure Nika was following. "But there is one other player as well. Last, but certainly not least." she paused again, but this time for dramatic effect. "The Seeker," she stopped pacing and looked at Nika. The Seeker's job is to catch the golden snitch. Tiny, fast, and unbelievably difficult to find, the Snitch zooms around the entire pitch, and only the Seeker can catch it. In a way, they are the most important player." Not that all the players weren't extremely important and necessary, but, well, it's true! "The object of the game is to score more points than your opponents. Each goal is worth ten points and catching the Snitch is worth one-hundred fifty points. The game ends when the Snitch is caught or an agreement is reached between the captains of both teams. Some games can go on for many days if the Snitch is not caught," Samira really hoped Nika was paying attention, because she was putting her heart and soul into this lesson!
She clapped her hands once again. "And that's Quidditch." She grinned. "Alrighty! Any questions, concerns, or comments?"
