When Lexi finally managed to get his attention (she'd only got a vague grunt in response from him before) he stopped mid-action, cake halfway to his mouth and looked at her.

Sagging a bit he nodded. "Yeah. Yeah that would be good."

He ate that bit of cake and then loaded up a couple of plates.... for himself.

He waggled his eyebrows at Lexi. Was SHE going to get some food too?

Lexi grabbed another plate and piled it full of... whatever she could get her hands on. Cake, biscuits, EVERYTHING. Then balancing the two plates she led them over to a nice secluded corner and plopped down in the floor.

Patting the ground beside her she smiled a bit sadly and said, "Have a seat. We can commiserate." Misery loved company. And Lexi was hurting too.
