And then she opened her mouth again. "Oh Caroline!" she said, giving her best friend a hug, "I'm sure she's not trying to replace your father." She let go and looked at Caroline seriously. "No one will be able to, don't worry. Everything will be ok," she added, giving the blonde a small smile.
Kita sighed and looked away. "I know! This year's gone by really, really, quickly," she said, turning back to Caroline, "Of course i'll come! My last summer was so boring because i didn't go anywhere! I'm not letting that happen this year." Nope, never again. She started laughing. "Thanks!" she said. And then a mad urge came over her. Reaching to the top of her head, she removed the sunglasses. "You can have it if you want," she said, holding out the sunglasses to Caroline, "I have way too many!"
Had Caroline just left Kita speechless? She giggled. Kita reminded her of a fish opening and closing her mouth. She hugged her back.
"Yeah, maybe but you don't know my mother." She said.
Don't cry. Don't Cry "I didn't even know that she was dating anyone."
Okay great. She kept herself together so far. If her mother was gong to get reamarried, then Caroline was having her friends over, whenever and however long she wanted. Her mother never let any of her kids friends stay over the summer.
"Yay! My mum never let of our friends stay over during the summer." "Where has this year gone?" She shook her head. It had been the best year so far here. Suddenly Caroline was at eye level with the same sunglasses that she said that she liked.
"Oh, no I couldn't take them." She didn't mean that she wanted them but okay. She couldn't help but it take it. She smiled.
"Okay fine but..." She pulled a bracelet off her wrist.
"You can have this. It's yellow for my favorite Hufflepuff. I have too many of them."She grinned at her.
"Thanks it's just that mum and I haven't gotten along too well since dad died 5 years ago."
