Job Description: The Department Head of Accidents and Catastrophes is tasked with the day to day running of level 3 and must be familiar with all aspects of the divisions which the position oversees. A strong aptitude for spell work, potions, and magical history are necessary, and leadership skills are a must. The Department Head will liaise with the Minister of Magic but is required to make decisions which effect Wizarding Britain independently, and take responsibility for all particulars which fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Accidents and Catastrophes. The Department Head must sit on the Experimental Charms Committee, and the Muggle-Worthy Excuse committee, and may be required to sit on the Wizengamot and other interdepartmental committees and boards from time to time as a consultant. Expertise in memory charms, spell invention, spell analysis, concealment and unplottable charms, potions, rune charms and alchemy are highly beneficial to this position. At least seven NEWTS, qualifications at a university level, and at least seven years experience in the industry are required for this position.
Personality: Aron is cocky and carries himself with an obnoxious confidence. He has a bit of a wild side and throws himself head first into any situation and is much more an act first ask questions later sort of fellow. Herbology was his first love and he is known to make TERRIBLE puns and references that only a true Herbologist would appreciate. Fiercely passionate, he is not the brawn over brains sort, but he isn't afraid to let fists fly if the situation calls for it.
History:
Aron Mitchell Ashbury-Hawthorne is a Muggle-born Australian wizard who carries himself with swaggering bravado. At age 7 Aron witnessed his parents murdered point blank by a hooded dark wizard while he hid in the closet in his parents' bedroom. Private Investigators from the Victoria Minsitry of Magic were first to arrive at his home and found young Aron shaking in the closet. It was at this time that his first hints of magical ability manifested and he was placed in a foster home. The Ashbury-Hawthorne family showered him with more love and affection than most children would receive in their lifetime, but none of it could dull the pain he felt having witnessed his parents' murder. At his parents' funeral, he vowed that he would do whatever it took to hunt the dark wizard down who had destroyed his family.
Young Aron soon became obsessed with Muggle police dramas, films, and novels, trying to pick up any tips of tricks of the trade from the detectives and officers. His adoptive parents noticed this behavior and became concerned as it became apparent that Aron was creating an unhealthy obsession. When he was 9 they introduced photography to him, and his mother began pushing Herbology gently in his direction. He took a liking to both, but would spend hours under the blankets with a flashlight at night reading and clipping old newspapers and Daily Prophets for his secret scrapbook about the night of his parents' murder.
He attended Tallygarunga Academy of Magic from 2060 to 2065 before doing extensive field work in Herbology around the globe. He returned to school in 2070 at Urelic University of Alchemy & Herbology. Upon graduating two years later with a double degree in Herbology and Life Alchemy, Aron took a year off to pursue photography by working for his parents' business. He later put his double degree to good use when he applied for a position at Status, an aquatic wild life organisation dedicated to preserving the Great Barrier Reef, where after half a year he became its president and leading Herbologist in their Stubby Purple Coral Revival Program (SPCRP) before transferring to the Ministry where he initially worked in Magical Law Enforcement before being promoted to Department Head of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes.

Ryoma (23) ■■ personal historyKaishu is a kind hearted person who has dedicated his life to making people feel better. He has a rather dry sense of humor and is relatively laid back. He is against using force and prefers to end disputes verbally and with his wit. People feel comfortable when in his presence. He will do whatever he can to help people, even if it puts his own life at risk. He simply values the lives of others more than his own. He is incredibly passionate about his work, so much so that it often was entirely consuming. Although this makes him a good make, it can make dealing with failure challenging.
Kaishu's best feature is, or what he thinks is, his hair He spends hours taking care of it each night and had a large file he keeps on his bookshelf filled with all natural hair care treatment recipes. While he does have a fantastic head of hair, Kaishu is also a very skilled guitarist and co-founded a band with his best mate, Charles Hollingberry, back during their school days. They became very famous and traveled all over the globe during their summer holidays and after graduating from Hogwarts. As a result, Kaishu became a skilled linguist as he always sought to communicate with the local beauties people everywhere they went. There was an unfortunate incident with the band's drummer during one of their performances involving an audience filled with Muggle that resulted in Obliviators being called, and the band broke up in the following days.
Kaishu eventually married his fellow Gryffindor classmate from Hogwarts, Sachiko, at age 27 and the two of them had six children together. Never fulling putting his rock star days behind him, Kaishu took up a position as a Healer at Tsukigami Hospital for Magical Injuries and Rehabilitation where he specialized in children's medicine.
On his son's 6th birthday, there was a terrible accident that resulted in Sachiko's death and caused a permanent drift in his relationship with the boy that still hasn't healed.
He soon left his position as a Healer with the resolve that he had no business in the field if he couldn't protect the love of his life. He then went to work for the Japanese Ministry of Magic where his ability to speak many languages (including Gobbledegook and Mermish) was put to great use. After working there for nearly 15 years, he was promoted and sent to work for the British Ministry of Magic as an official representative of the Japanese Ministry on foreign soil.
Kaishu still plays the guitar as he can never let the music really die - that, and Sachiko always loved hearing him play. He also cannot let go of what he calls 'the glory days' and is never without a small briefcase that contains signed CDs from the band. Whenever Kaishu is thinking deeply about something, he gets into his "Concentration Pose" which can be seen above.
