Chapter 1

The morning finally struck and the final battle has finally ended. Everyone was crying and yet at the same time relieved. Voldemort was no longer the ruler. Harry ended everything once and for all. Hogwarts is free from evil.

My hand was still aching and bloody from the fight. My sweater was torn and my hair was indescribable. It felt like the happiest day of our lives has officially come. There was nothing more to harm us. We feel safe, at last!

The great hall was full of parents and students who joined the battle. Some were badly wounded and some were rejoining with their family. I was standing in the middle. I kept looking for him, my eyes searching every inch of the place. Why can’t I find him? I need to tell him something… something very important.

I walked out of the great hall thinking to myself that maybe, just maybe I’ll find him somewhere. He would probably pop out of the blue. The corridors were peaceful but my heart wasn’t. My brain reminded me of how much important I have to deal with this. My first instinct was, ‘Go to his dorm’ but no, I couldn’t, for surely I will be asked about the password. Plan B? There was no Plan B. The castle is too big, too wide for us to meet.

“Hey, come back here. Professor McGonagall will be announcing something!” a girl from behind called my name. I went back to hear what the professor will be saying. As I stood at the back of the hall I can see all the professors in front… The loyal ones. The ones that swore to protect Hogwarts and its students for as long as it stands. Then there was silence as Professor McGonagall stood into Professor Dumbledore’s podium to speak.

“This is a great time for us. Evil has been banished away and will be no longer here to threat us. We did very well to stand up against the death eaters. We have been bold enough to fight for Hogwarts. Trust me, if Professor Dumbledore was here he would be very proud of you.
I’m sorry to say that we also lost our recent Headmaster, Professor Snape. He was a great hero and he will remain in our hearts. He has sacrificed his life to save Harry Potter. He has risked his life to remain faithful and most of all he showed courage. We also have lost our families and friends because of this battle. This however should not be our downfall, for they have risked their lives to save you and this school.
Today is another day to live. It will be a story that you will tell your children and grandchildren someday. And lastly, we couldn’t have done this all without Harry Potter, because of him we are finally free of evil.”

Everyone applaud.

I went to find him in the castle again. I was already set for this. I’ve been ready for this. Then I saw him.

“Harry!” I greeted. It’s been awhile since I last saw him smile. He had stitches in some parts of his face but he showed no pain.
“Are you okay?” I’m worried but he nodded and gave me a warm smile.
“H-Harry… I need to tell you something.” I feel afraid to say it even when I’m so sure I’m ready. He waited for me to say it but suddenly…
“Harry, come! They’re waiting for you.” Hermione interrupted.
“We’ll talk later, okay? I-I need to go…” he went along.
Just when I’m so close to telling him something, someone just tries to interrupt. I couldn’t help but look around. The portraits were moving like they normally do. The moment felt vague and yet it feels so memorable.

“When the time comes, I’ll tell him.” I thought.

I went outside to see what Hogwarts is like in the morning. They told me that we will all be leaving in the evening. The students wanted to celebrate. As I walked down to the Hogwarts’ Quidditch Pitch. The feeling was nostalgic. I remember when I played Quidditch. The awesome feeling to be so high up and flying in a broomstick. I sat down and let these memories just flash back into the silent cold morning.

(Sorry guys, the character narrating the story will be revealed in my Chapter 2. So you can just guess who she is…LOL)
