And and and! Jimmmmmmmy! His best mate was there. Whom he hadn't like seen in forever, seeing as the guy had been locked up in the hospital wing. A big grin appeared on his face. Oh yes. This was party was going to rock, especially with Jimmy and himself there.
Spotting most of the team gathered together he wandered over there, and appeared next to Jimmy. "See you're out of hospital then Jim..." Yup. He'd got his best friend back and they'd won the championship. Epic day.
"Yeah sure am. Finally." He made a face. Finn knew better than almost anyone that Jimmy wasn't one to enjoy being cooped up for long periods, especially when it was enforced and he had no choice in the matter.
He grinned tiredly and helped himself to a great big handful of miniature sandwiches.

Emily didn't want to burden James with her.... emotional issues... they were celebrating! Ravenclaw had been victorious!
Emily nodded i agreement, she really should see the nurse... or Lafay. In fact she figured she'd go see Lafay after the celebrations... unless she decided to stop by herself... that would be convenient.
Looking over her shoulder Emily noticed Professor Vindictus- acting as though nothing had happened. And though this didn't surprise her, and she expected it... it hurt a little. Rejection....
Nudging Jimmy in the ribs she grinned mischieviously.. "Yes, those dinner rolls are dangerous... then again... they saved Vindictus" She returned his wink. What was a bit of harmless flirting amongst team mates after being rejected by your 50-something year old head of house.... :-|
Emily was in need of a distraction... firewhiskey anyone?
Noticing Finnlay's arrival Emily waved over at him. It was great to have the team all together again.
"I see." Jim answered, grinning and generally giving Em some significant looks in response to her whole 'get things off her chest' statement. He popped an sandwich in his mouth and chewed industriously, swallowing when she nudged him.
"I like the part where you think I, James Sacheverell Wilkes, need saving from
anything." Obviously kidding. Partly. He could have done with some saving when it came to Quidditch injuries, but he was alright now at least. And Em? She seemed happier. That was good. He smiled good naturedly and ate another sandwich.

She was friends with Finlay too and that's who she was going to congratulate.
Walking into the tent she did a quick scan of everyone to see if she could find any of her friends. She spotted Mia off talking to someone, and was that little Sierra over on the other side of the tent? Well at least she wasn't the only snake there. Looking over towards the food table she spotted Finn. She started to head over to him until she noticed who he was standing with... James. Right, she should have figured that's who he would be with, they were best friends after all. Not in the mood for any confrontations with Jim she turned to head the other way. She would talk to Finn later. For now she would just go interrupt Mia and whoever she was talking to.
Yeah. Yeah he noticed.
James deflated and busied himself with the buffet.

Priorities.
The wink would have to do.
And besides all that, focusing on the buffet meant not having to think too much about the recent arrival of Marie.
Being dumped? Not so fun as it turns out.

..... especially when you were practically on your DEATH BED at the time. Or something like that.
Sigh.
