Strawberry jam seeped out of the pastry as James took a large bite. It dripped down his chin and stained his freshly pressed shirt. Stealthily he wiped at the stain, his eyes widening as it got bigger.

A knock on the door forced James to frantically run to his closet, stuffing the rest of his pastry into his mouth. His door swung open, and he closed his eyes, willing his intruder to go away.

“Hmm…I thought James in here,” he great-aunt said aloud. She shut the door behind her right as James fell out of the closet.

“Merlin…that was close.”
