What was she 'only supposed' to talk to him about?
Regardless of how nice James was behaving- in general, Emily could tell he was holding back on her, she could tell that he was trying really hard not to laugh at her. She was grateful that he didn't though.
Looking back over at Vindictus Emily realised that Jimmy was right... the Professor wasn't... ticked off or brassed or- as Jimmy had put it.... so that had to be a possitive right. Perhaps he let it slide in the spirit of the festivifties?
Turning back to Jimmy- who looked as if he really would start laughing now, she replied in a whisper...
"I have trouble .... opening up to people... I'm sure you've noticed," the fact that she was telling him this at all was beyond her, why would she divulge such personal information to him?... Nonetheless she continued.
".... So after the game, I took a tongue loosening serum, but it was old- stale... I think it had some.... adverse reactions" she said.
Yes, adverse..... adverse in that instead of just loosening her tongue to talk to him, she loosened it to kiss him!!!
"I don't understand why I don't remember though..."
Sighing, Emily realised she wasn't going to live this down... not for a long long long time... so she may as well make the most of it, stay cheery, brush herself off and get back to the party. She was sure Jimmy wanted to do that to. He looked particularly raveneous.
"I'll be ok Jimmy,.... thanks for... you know, helping me", she said, but before he could say anything in return she raised her eyebrows.
"Oh and you better watch you tongue Mr Wilkes otherwise you might not be so lucky", she said.... what?! did she really just say that? did she really just threaten him? threaten him by saying she'll kiss him?...
Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but if it did............. at least if would get her mind off Max...
