When Boredom Hits.


There was knocking on the door, but James refused to answer it. His door flew open and Peter skipped inside, a large, ancient book in his hand.

“James, look. Looook!”

He remained still, silently willing Peter to go away. The shorter boy pounced on top of James, using him as a pillow as he read aloud.

Groaning, James tried to block out Peter’s voice.

“Did you know that Parselmouths don’t just speak to snakes, they can also—”

James shimmied out from under Peter, and laughed when his friend fell onto the floor.

“Shut it, Peter, I’m trying to sleep.”
