Carefully setting down the mug, he wrapped his hand about hers holding the object as he drew her into a big hug. He didn't trust himself to speak and he could only hope that the embrace told her how grateful and thankful he was.
She bit down harder on her bottom lip as he stared at the gift, and a part of her wanted to take it back or say something. She couldn't tell if he liked it or if he wasn't sure what to make of the stone.
It was his hand reaching out that had her keeping her own open for him to touch the stone. The hug said it all and then some when he pulled her in for a big hug, and she moved closer to him to wrap her free arm around him and rest her head against him. A part of her remembering to be careful not to knock the mug over. She defiantly wasn't regretting getting him the stone.
