"My parents love me and all that, they're just busy a lot and they know I can take care of myself. And when I was homeschooled, it wasn't like I got to see Finn or Ivan every day or anything." Jim reached out one hand and stroked Marie's cheek grinning gently. "Its not like I don't appreciate it, its just... different, thats all." And nice.

"She was here to..." He trailed off and listened to the rest of what Marie had to say, brows going up.

... wait, there was status associated to being his girl? Hah. Funny.... ehh. He rubbed at his face. As if stuff with him and Neptune was ever that simple. He chose not to comment on it.

"I know thats not what this is. For you or for me. I guess... I wonder if she knows that you've made me a better person." He did wonder. Not that it mattered if she had or not. And did Marie know? Jim gave her an earnest look. "I'm glad you came. It means a lot. Maybe we shouldn't talk about Neptune anymore."
