No backpack, because that was hidden in his dormitory, and no book at all to be seen around him either. Yes, everything had changed and he was enjoying his distractions-free night.
Until...well, someone seemed to have been working all day, no?
"Hey, there, Ava," he said, with a smile, and took a seat next to her,
"Don't worry, the school year is almost over." Which translated to...no more homework very soon, if that's what had the fellow badger exhausted.
