"It's not a terribly long process but it is very important because of how delicate and expensive the parts of a telescope are... As a fragile piece of equipment, using a simple charm would not do justice to cleaning a telescope." Hadley explained. "Just think of it like a broom... You wouldn't use tergeo or something on your broomstick, would you? Same thing with a telescope."
Right. She was rambling. "Now, onto the cleaning process..." For this, Hadley used her wand to make the cleaning supplies materialize by them. As well as a large paper with cleaning instructions for them to follow.
ooc: I'm not sure how available I'll be today, Sunday, so I'm posting all the cleaning instructions now. Feel free to make separate posts for each step ... or include two steps in one post ... For full credit, at least five posts though are required =). Have fun with this!!! Selina watched as Hadely began to start the lesson in Astronomy in the realm of cleaning. She tried her hardest to jot down all of the notes that were being spewed out. For an odd reason she could not find herself able to write fast enough. Once she was finally caught up Hadely had allowed them to get started on their cleaning of the instruments.
Then Selina went to the telescope and eyed it. Why was the machine so odd looking? Selina then looked back at her notes and sighed. Okay, she could do this. Very carefully Selina drew her hand to grab the towel and opened the cleaning solution provided. It had a strong oder to it and Selina felt like she was going to pass out. Swallowing her disgust Selina applied it to her towel.
She then waited several minutes for it to dry. As it dried Selina pondered what was happening lately in school. All of the teachers were filling in for others. It was an odd occurence she could not quite put her finger on. Before she could think any more she noticed her towel was dry and reapplied. Once it was ready Selina carefully rubbed the entire telescope in a clockwise motion until it was adiquite.
